About us?

Boats of the World is a distribution company of high end miniature boats.

Born from passion from Sylvie and Marc for sailboats and after several years spent to admire the profiles of the hulls encountered through their voyages, they made the discovery of a fabulous collection of scale boats. Since 2005, they distribute and make models of boats which belong to the Canadian maritime heritage.
These models are found in its network of accredited retailers and several Canadian Museums. In addition to being splendid decorative objects, they are also the occasion of an investment in the long term taking into account scarcity of the craftsmen devoted to this art and their low cost acquisition in correlation to the hundreds of hours necessary for their realization.

Our products

All our models have the following characteristics:
 

Construction entirely made by hand using exotic hardwoods;    Epoxi resin used for better construction, preventing warping and splitting;   Natural wood grain finish or painted like original;   Ornaments and on-board equipment manufactured out of cast metal… note: there is no plastic pieces;   Dual quality control (before shipping and before distribution) ensuring a maximum of conformity;   Our bigger units are strapped inside a wooden crate put into a cardboard box for trouble free shipping.
